You’re invited to

Tracey’s 60th Annual Comedy Festival

But shhh! It’s a secret!

Help us celebrate mum’s milestone birthday in the most Tracey way possible: dinner and a show!

On 5 January 2025, family and friends will gather from 4pm at the Basement Comedy Club, where mum will arrive at 5pm to find the room filled with everyone she loves. That includes you, of course!

We’ll settle in for a show featuring some of mum’s favourite comedians, then we’ll takeover the show to share some classic stories about mum.

Once the show is finished, at 6:30pm, we’ll head upstairs to get the party started at the Morris House rooftop.

So lodge those leave requests for Monday, and we’ll see you in the photobooth!

Register your tight 5

If you’ve got a classic story about Mum, we’d love for you to share it with us on the Basement Comedy Club stage.

You’re welcome to team up with friends or family to tell your story, or a McLean can come up with you.

Since you’re all Mum’s favourite people, I promise you'll be sharing your stories to the most supportive crowd.

If public speaking is not your thing, that’s cool too. Sit back and make an impact by laughing hard.

Flashback fun

Ok, now I need your help.

We want to make sure that every one of Mum’s eras are celebrated at this party. From her spiked hair era to the time she got really into collecting porcelain frogs. If you’ve got some some must-see pics of/with Mum? Send them our way!

Think: your all-time favourite photo of or with Mum.

But, how? If you’ve got a heap to send, WeTransfer allows you to send large files for free. So, simply collate your images, drag and drop them into WeTransfer and send them, or the link, directly to my email address: taylahlmclean@gmail.com

*IYKYK, I’m notoriously bad at keeping up with all the happenings on my phone. I’m sorry! I have anxiety! Ok?! You would too if you had our Yiayia. But, I promise to be better when it comes to mum’s birthday. Otherwise, give one of the boys a go.

FAQs

  • Hey, it's going to be ok! We got you!

The comedy show and the rooftop party are in the same location. Yay! So, all you need to worry about is getting to 120 Exhibition Street, Melbourne before 4:45pm on Sunday 5 January.

That's 4:45pm at the VERY latest (if you want to make the surprise ruveal of course!)

  • No! As much as I'm busting at the seams to talk to her about this, I'm hoping we can all keep it a secret to pull off an incredible surprise.

Thank you so much for doing your best to help us with this!

  • Who could possibly keep tabs on all of Mum's amazing friends? Honestly. She's such a social lady! So, if you think we have missed someone who needs to join our celebrations, let me know!

Shoot me an email or text to check:

  • Let us know if you'd like to bring someone along via the RSVP form.

We know Mum is a huge part of everyone's lives, so we'll do our best to accommodate with the capacity caps we're working with.

I'll be in touch with you to confirm, and thank you in advance for your understanding.

  • It's no lie when I say: mum loves a snoop. So, to avoid spoiling the surprise, invites won't be sent unless requested. Thank you for your understanding.

Let us know your address when you RSVP and we can send you a physical invite.

We just ask that it remains hidden, if mum is likely to stumble upon it.

  • Your presence is the present!

But, if you must, you know mum - she'd love an experience over a gift.

Think: tickets (or an IOU) to attend show with her or vouchers to go towards an event, art, or even travel and accomodtation!

She seems to be going through a "spending mine and Connor's inheritance" era right now.

  • Whatever makes you feel comfortable, of course!

But, if that's not helpful, just wear what you whatever you'd wear if you were meeting mum in the city for dinner and a show.

If all else fails, treat yourself to something special at mum's favourite boutique: Cazinc The Label 🔥
